Jim joined the Foundation team as a Fellow in August 2012 and assumed the role of Grants Coordinator in January 2014. He is a soccer professional that brings experience in both a technical coaching and professional management standpoint from the youth, state, collegiate, professional, and national levels of the game. Jim has held various positions with local youth soccer clubs, North Texas State Soccer Association, Prince George’s Community College (NJCAA Men’s Soccer), United Soccer Leagues (Austin Lone Stars), Major League Soccer (Dallas Burn and D.C. United), the Positive Coaching Alliance, and now the U.S. Soccer Foundation. Ranging from program management to sales and marketing to coaching, Jim brings over 10 years of experience from all aspects of the game extending from the recreational youth level to the professional ranks. He currently holds a USSF B License, a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and a USYS National Youth License. Jim received his M.S. in Sport and Recreation Studies from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin.
