Urban Soccer Symposium
The Urban Soccer Symposium hosts urban soccer programmers and speakers from across the nation who are dedicated to improving the field of sports-based youth development. The Symposium features three days of interactive workshops focused on sharing best practices and maximizing organizations' impact in the community. The fourth and final day of the Symposium is Capitol Hill Day, in which attendees go on Capitol Hill to meet with government officials to discuss how soccer is positively impacting children in their communities.
The 2013 Urban Soccer Symposium took place April 22 - 25, 2013 at the Georgetown University Hotel & Conference Center in Washington, D.C. The Foundation hosted approximately 150 soccer programmers from around the nation and speakers including, former U.S. Men's National Team members Cobi Jones and Claudio Reyna.
