Sarah L. Pickens

Partners Resource Center Coordinator

Bio

Sarah joined the Foundation in April 2006 after spending two years in the field of teacher education. During her tenure in the field of education, she also completed her Master of Arts degree in International Education from the George Washington University. Sarah's specialization in the International Education program focused mainly on civil society avenues of cross-cultural learning, especially for disadvantaged populations.

Post collegiate employment for Sarah includes Sweet Traditions (a franchisee of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts), El Centro de Rescate y Rehabilitacion de Primates (a Chilean Primate Sanctuary), Yellowstone National Park Co-op Recreation, the American Association for Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE), and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Certificate in Markets and Management from Duke University in 2002.  While at Duke, Sarah started all four years for the women's varsity soccer team, receiving All-America, All-South, and All-ACC honors.

 

Foundation Responsibilities

As Partners Resource Center Coordinator, Sarah serves as the primary liaison to the Foundation's Corporate Partners.  In addition to coordinating all aspects of the Partners Resource Center, Sarah is integrally involved with both the All Conditions Field Program and the Foundation's Grant Program.
