About the Soccer United Recovery Fund

Dedicated fundraising for the Recovery Fund, including the sale of Recovery Fund T-Shirts and other products, is the source for the Grant Program. To date, nearly $300,000 of direct grant support has been provided to over 30 soccer organizations across the Gulf Coast, with an equal amount of "in-kind" equipment and technical support having been provided by our generous corporate partners throughout the region. We are pleased that 100% of all proceeds generated through this fundraising effort - including every dollar from individual donations - goes directly towards the Recovery Fund grant program.

Funding Assistance

The Soccer United Recovery Fund continues to be available to address the needs of the Gulf Coast soccer community. Grants have been awarded as recently as November of 2007 – nearly two full years since Hurricane Katrina. To assist us in processing requests for support, a Working Group, made up of over a dozen national, state and local soccer organizations on the ground in the affected areas, has been organized composed of soccer leaders in the states affected by the three hurricanes. The Group continues to help the Foundation review incoming requests.
