PLANTATION ATHLETIC CLUB

Organization Description: The primary function of Plantation Athletic Club is to offer enjoyable, well organized Soccer, T-ball, Baseball, and Softball programs to children 4 through 18 years of age. The soccer component includes the Recreational Program, the Metro Development Program, the Division One Program, and the Premier Program.

Project Description: Currently at the Plantation Athletic Club (PAC), soccer and baseball shares fields, which creates shorter seasons and limits the possibility of expanding programs. PAC has new, cleared land and would like to develop that land in conjunction with the current facilities to create the optimal environment for both soccer and baseball to co-exist. PAC would like to have at minimum for soccer: six U-6 soccer fields, four U-8 soccer fields, three U-10 soccer fields, two U-12 soccer fields, and one adult soccer field. PAC has sufficient lighting on their current fields, but additional lighting and irrigation would be needed for the new land.

Testimonial:Clough Harbour Sports was great throughout the entire process. From the beginning to the end they have been very professional and delivered a great product. Basically, all they needed from us was input on how we wanted the property laid out. They kept in constant contact through the entire process. They showed us how they came about the field layouts and answered all questions we had about the plans they presented. They took all of our concerns and requests into consideration when creating the final two layouts. They also presented two options for us to choose from or consider which was nice. The cost figures they created were very informative. It was great to work with them and we would recommend them to any organization looking for this type of service.

Thank you to the U.S. Soccer Foundation for giving us the opportunity to take advantage of this grant. We are going to push forward and expand our soccer fields based on the results of the grant. We now have a clear goal and will be formulating fundraising events to assisting with funding required to complete the additional soccer fields.”

TOTAL SOCCER OF SPRINGFIELD (SPRINGFIELD, MO)

Organization Description: Total Soccer of Springfield serves the developing youth within the City of Springfield and surrounding cities through the sport of soccer, offering recreational teams, competitive clubs, high school teams, collegiate friendlies, and Premier Development League soccer games. Target areas of growth, in addition to Springfield, include Nixa, Marshfield, Republic, and Ozark.

Project Description: Total Soccer of Springfield’s facility will be broken into five phases of which the ultimate result will be 16 lighted fields – with one being a small 1,000-seat stadium consisting of fieldturf, lights, a press box, scoreboard, and player benches. The additional 15 fields will be natural grass fields equipped with irrigation.

ULTIMATE GOAL MINISTRIES (NASHVILLE, TN)

Organization Description: While their programs are open to all players, Ultimate Goal Ministries (UGM) serves a core target audience in the international, refugee, and other foreign born youths in Nashville, who mostly come from low to mid-income families due to the financial burdens of immigrating to the United States. Nashville has the distinction of being known for one of the top cities for immigration (in 2000 Nashville possessed over 100,000 foreign born residents, many of which are youth and young adults). UGM’s Ultimate Goal Club (recreational and competitive) provides international (foreign born and refugee) youth communities an opportunity to participate in a competitive youth soccer club system.

Project Description: First, their complex would contain 6-8 full size (dividable) fields along with several dedicated small-sided youth fields and a futsal court. Two additional full size fields will possess lighting and will be reserved as tournament championship fields. Second, the complex would possess, in foresight and design, a focus on playing in community, with family picnic and shaded areas, a walking track (around a scenic creek which borders the property on two sides), a play ground area for children, and a central facility with bathrooms, concessions, and an multi-lingual information area with details about participating in teams, leagues, clubs, and tournaments. Third, lockers, meeting rooms, and offices for the organization will be an integral part of the complex and will help facilitate partner development, corporate sponsorships, and operational needs.
