2008 D.C. Soccer Festival - US Soccer Foundation

Join us for the 2008 D.C. Soccer Festival this weekend as the U.S. Soccer Foundation and the Urban Soccer Collaborative celebrate soccer as a means for positive social change. We are proud to be hosting this event in Washington, D.C. and hope that you can stop by to enjoy a fun-filled weekend of soccer for the whole family.

Modeled after the Football for Hope Movement, which was initiated by FIFA and streetfootballworld, this festival works to enhance dialogue and collaboration between locally active organizations.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Soccer Festival - Saturday, July 12th (2:00-6:00 p.m. EST)

This round-robin soccer tournament features teams from the Urban Soccer Collaborative. Each game will be played at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington on a state-of-the art FieldTurf mini soccer field that was built with support from the U.S. Soccer Foundation.

D.C. Passback Clinic - Sunday, July 13th (1:00 - 3:00 p.m. EST)
The Passback Program will continue its 2nd Annual Tour on July 13th at the Boys & Girls Clubhouse #11. Over 150 kids from United for D.C., D.C. SCORES, and B&G Clubhouse #11 will take part in the skills clinic being held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Players from D.C. United will be at the event to assist with the clinic and sign autographs, providing participants with a unique opportunity to enjoy the Beautiful Game.
