About the National Training Center

 

 
The National Training Center officially opened for U.S. Soccer on June 6, 2003. The landmark is a 27,000 seat stadium. (Home Depot Center)

Program Description

The U.S. Soccer National Training Center (NTC) is a state-of-the-art training facility at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The purpose of this modern soccer complex is to support the continued development of U.S. Soccer National Teams, coaches and referees. The facility serves as the home base for all U.S. Men, Women, and Youth National teams as well as being the preferred site for various referee certification and coaching education schools offered by the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF).

Purpose of Facility
The NTC is used year round by U.S. Soccer to develop current and the next generation of U.S. National Team athletes, coaches, and referees. Developed in partnership with the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), the NTC is the permanent home for elite U.S. player development, coaching education and referee training. Over 75 training camps have been conducted at the facility since the Mational Training Center opened on June 6, 2003.

Location

The NTC is located on the campus of California State University-Dominguez Hills and is an adjoining section to the 125-acre Home Depot Center, which also includes state-of-the-art stadiums and facilities for soccer, tennis, track & field, cycling, volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball and other sports. Designated as an “Official U.S. Olympic Training Site,” the National Training Center includes 5 grass soccer fields, a FieldTurf™ soccer field, seperate locker rooms for the Men's and Women's National Teams, lockers and offices for the coaches, an equipment facility, and and office suite for the National Training Center staff.

Campaign Naming Opportunities

Here’s how you can help contribute to the legacy of U.S. Soccer begun at the NTC:

  • Name one of the five training fields used by our National Teams ($125,000/ea. - Donor recognition will include a 3' X 10' sign in a prominent and visible location);
  • Purchase the rights to name the Men’s or Women’s National Team Locker Rooms ($75,000/ea. -Donor recognition will include a customized sign on the entrance door to the locker room (dimensions and locations TBA);
  • Place the name of a loved one inside a locker space in either the Men’s or Women’s National Team Locker Rooms ($10,000/ea. - Donor recognition will include a customized sign on the locker (dimensions and locations TBA);
  • Designate the U.S. National Team Coaches Locker Room in honor of a family member ($50,000/ea. - Donor recognition will include a customized sign on the entrance door to the locker room (dimensions and locations TBA);
  • Name one of five offices inside U.S. Soccer’s NTC Office Suite ($25,000/ea. - Donor recognition will include a customized sign adjacent to the entrance of each office in the NTC Office Suite (dimensions and locations TBA);
  • Name the U.S. Soccer Equipment Room ($50,000/ea. - Donor recognition will include a appropriate sign to be placed outside the room (dimensions and locations TBA);
  • Name the U.S. Soccer NTC Office Suite ($150,000/ea. - Donor recognition will include customized signage adjacent to the entrance of the NTC Office Suite (dimensions and locations TBA);

* Donors who commit to gifts of $100,000 or more will also receive:

  • Travel to a select World Cup qualifying match with the U.S. Men's National Team (schedule permitting);
  • Inclusion within U.S. Soccer's “Friends & Family Program” at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which makes purchasing tickets and travel to South Africa simple.
