Carlos Cordeiro is a retired Partner and Managing Director of the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc where he held many leadership positions in London and Hong Kong during his investment banking career. He has more than 25 years' experience in providing strategic and financial advice to corporations, financial institutions and governments around the world. He continues to serve as an Advisory Director of the firm and in a non executive capacity as Vice Chairman for Asia in Hong Kong. Mr. Cordeiro was elected the first ever independent director of the United States Soccer Federation in 2007 and, in 2008, appointed its Treasurer. Earlier this year he joined the board of the USA World Cup 2018/2022 Bid Committee. He has worked with and served on several not for profit boards over the years. Since 2005 he has also served as an independent director of the BHP Billiton Group, the world's largest diversified resources company. Mr. Cordeiro was elected a Director of the Harvard Alumni Association in June 2009. He received his A.B. and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. |
